About the role
Secondary schools across the Sefton borough are seeking qualified teachers to support students during the summer term and exam period. The role is ideal for early‑career teachers looking to gain experience in high‑performing schools or for seasoned teachers who prefer flexible, short‑term assignments.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons clearly and effectively.
- Keep students focused and on‑task during examinations.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Follow each school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies.
- Provide a brief handover note for the regular teacher.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
