Quantitative Research Internship – Summer 2027

About the role

Susquehanna International Group is offering a 10‑week summer internship for PhD and research master’s students to work on quantitative research projects. Interns will be immersed in real‑world algorithmic trading problems, learning about proprietary data spaces, novel modelling approaches, and strategy implementation while receiving extensive classroom training.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine mathematical models for trading strategies.
• Analyse large data sets using probability, statistics and machine‑learning techniques.
• Participate in hands‑on trading games and collaborative project work.
• Attend educational sessions covering options pricing, game theory, data analysis and more.
• Work closely with senior traders and quantitative researchers.

Required profile

• Research‑oriented mindset with a passion for deep quantitative analysis.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented and able to communicate ideas clearly.
• Class of 2027 or 2028 – PhD (penultimate or final year) or research master’s in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research or Economics.
