About the role
Join Bio-Techne’s Customer Services team in Abingdon as the first point of contact for visitors, callers and internal colleagues. You will combine front‑desk duties with order processing and after‑sales support, ensuring a seamless experience for researchers and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome staff, guests and customers and manage the main reception phone line.
- Handle meeting‑room, taxi, flight and appointment bookings for on‑site and remote teams.
- Process sales orders received via email, telephone, post and e‑commerce platforms accurately.
- Provide customer service support by liaising with Sales, Accounts, Despatch, Technical Service and Marketing.
- Answer order queries, manage back‑order communications and keep the customer database up‑to‑date.
- Coordinate post and courier deliveries.
- Maintain basic product knowledge and contribute to a high‑quality customer experience from order placement to after‑sales care.
Required profile
- General education qualifications (English and Maths) or equivalent.
- Experience in a customer‑focused environment or reception role.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
Required skills
- Proficient IT skills for handling email, phone systems and order processing software.
