Registered Nurse – Outpatients

About the role

The Royal Derby Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its busy Outpatients department. You will work across a range of specialties—including Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Cardiology, Neurology, DME, Stroke and Respiratory—to ensure patients receive safe, efficient and high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Support multiple clinical specialties within the Outpatients department.
• Manage the patient journey from arrival to discharge, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and resolve issues.
• Prioritise workload and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Contribute to the delivery of an effective and responsive outpatient service.

Required profile

• Qualified Staff Nurse with experience in a hospital setting.
• Excellent communication skills and a flexible attitude.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organisational skills and the capacity to prioritise tasks.
