Repairs Manager – Housing Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Repairs Manager to lead our reactive repairs and landscape maintenance services across Central Scotland. The role is pivotal in ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑standard delivery while supporting the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the reactive repairs service to achieve timely, safe and cost‑effective outcomes.
• Line‑manage the repairs team, set KPIs, support development and maintain high performance and safety standards.
• Apply relevant legislation, codes and technical standards to ensure compliance and protect asset integrity.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams on priorities, materials and access to meet cost, quality and programme targets.
• Monitor service performance, manage budgets and contracts, and produce reports, ARC returns and audit‑ready records.
• Drive service improvement, support policy development, handle complaint escalations and manage major incidents such as fire or flood.

Required profile

• A degree or relevant technical qualification in a building discipline.
• Strong experience in housing or property management, including reactive repairs, compliance and contractor management.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, oversee budgets and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent technical knowledge of building fabric, services maintenance and Scottish housing legislation and standards.
• Strong communication, reporting and IT skills and a full driving licence.
