Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) – Social Housing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to join a major planned maintenance programme on a busy social‑housing site in Cheltenham. The role is initially a two‑month cover from 20 July, with strong potential to become a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, delivering clear notifications, arranging property access and keeping tenants informed of schedules.
• Visit homes to conduct pre‑start assessments, explain the scope of work and record property choices and data.
• Enter accurate site notes, resident profiles and progress updates directly into the project CRM system.
• Handle tenant queries, complaints and access challenges promptly to minimise disruption and avoid project delays.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Resident Liaison Officer, Tenant Liaison Officer or Customer Liaison Officer within social housing or occupied property maintenance.
• Own a reliable vehicle and hold a full UK driving licence (fuel and mileage reimbursed).
• Comfortable using mobile tablets or laptops and entering data into property‑management or CRM databases.
• Strong communication, emotional intelligence and conflict‑resolution abilities; experience supporting vulnerable residents is a plus.
