School Caretaker – Hounslow (Full‑time Temporary)

About the role
We are seeking a reliable School Caretaker to join a well‑regarded secondary school in Hounslow. The role involves maintaining a safe, secure and well‑kept environment for staff and pupils, working closely with the facilities team and external contractors.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out day‑to‑day maintenance and minor repairs across the school site.
- Open and close the school as keyholder, ensuring security of buildings and grounds.
- Monitor heating, lighting and alarm systems on a regular basis.
- Liaise with external contractors, oversee their work and verify completion.
- Support general site upkeep and ensure health & safety compliance.
- Order equipment and supplies as required.
Required profile
- Previous experience working within a school or similar environment.
- Good maintenance and DIY abilities.
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Available to interview and start immediately.
