SEN Support Worker – Full‑time Teaching Assistant

About the role
We are looking for a compassionate SEN Support Worker to join a specialist special‑educational‑needs school in Cranleigh. This full‑time teaching assistant role supports pupils with complex learning difficulties, autism, physical disabilities and communication needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop independence.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils throughout the school day in classroom and therapeutic settings.
- Assist with tailored learning activities and provide emotional and behavioural support.
- Encourage independence, confidence and social development.
- Support students during breaks, lunchtime and off‑site outings.
- Provide personal care as required, including toileting, changing, feeding and mobility assistance.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant or similar.
- Patient, compassionate and proactive attitude.
- Confidence working with individuals with additional needs and challenging behaviours.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and commitment to a full‑time role.
