Senior Corporate Tax Accountant – Assistant Manager (Hybrid, Bristol)

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established professional services firm to hire a Senior Corporate Tax Accountant (Assistant Manager level) for their growing Bristol team. This hybrid role blends core compliance work with a strong advisory component, giving you exposure to a diverse client portfolio ranging from owner‑managed businesses to large corporate groups.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns for a varied client base.
• Support advisory projects such as capital allowances, R&D claims, corporate restructures and tax due diligence.
• Assist with transaction‑related tax work and conduct technical research.
• Develop expertise in specialist areas like share schemes and innovation reliefs.
• Mentor junior team members and manage multiple assignments to agreed deadlines and budgets.
• Build strong client relationships and collaborate with audit and wider advisory teams.
• Participate in networking and business development activities.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a corporate tax role.
• ATT/CTA or ACA/CTA qualification (or equivalent), or part‑qualified with relevant experience.
• Strong technical corporate tax knowledge and a genuine interest in advisory work.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Commercial mindset with a client‑focused approach and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
