Senior Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, implement and manage a new cloud‑based data platform. The role is fully remote and focuses on consolidating legacy data services into a scalable, automated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate data pipelines and ETL processes for ingesting, transforming and loading data.
• Collaborate with the Lead Architect and Cloud Engineer to integrate data services within Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Develop data models and schemas to optimise storage and retrieval.
• Implement data quality and validation controls to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Optimise queries and processes for performance and scalability.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver insights.
• Support data scientists by providing curated data and tooling for model development.
• Enforce data governance and security measures to meet compliance standards.
• Stay current with emerging data technologies and recommend improvements.
