Senior Electronics Engineer

About the role

Reporting to the Electronics Manager, the Senior Electronics Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and releasing production‑quality hardware and embedded firmware across the full product lifecycle. The role covers feasibility, concept, production release and ongoing support for digital and analogue circuits, microprocessor systems and embedded software.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex hardware for new and existing products, ensuring robustness, manufacturability and compliance.
• Develop embedded firmware for microprocessor‑based systems, covering requirements capture, design, implementation, testing and release management.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles and support product approval processes, including EMC and certification.
• Implement wired and wireless communication technologies such as Ethernet, Wi‑Fi and cellular connectivity.
• Manage development tasks and projects, working to deadlines and adapting plans to meet delivery objectives.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production and Marketing teams to resolve issues and deliver successful outcomes.
• Identify improvement opportunities for existing products and propose new product concepts.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

Required profile

• A degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong general electronics engineering background with a hardware focus.
• Proven hands‑on experience delivering production‑ready electronic products.
• Experience managing the full product lifecycle from concept to production release.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross‑functional teams and mentor junior staff.
