Senior Finance Contract Recruiter – Principal Level

About the role

We are seeking a Principal‑level Senior Finance Contract Recruiter to join Hays Recruitment’s high‑performing finance team. You will focus on senior‑level interim and transformation assignments across Bristol, Bath and the wider South‑West region, building a robust daybook of finance contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑value interim placements (£600+ per day) for senior finance roles.
• Develop and maintain a network of 400+ senior finance professionals within the assigned geography.
• Identify candidate motivations, availability, rate expectations and preferences.
• Collaborate on senior appointment strategy and market approach.
• Maintain high data quality, LinkedIn Recruiter activity and disciplined market‑to‑market processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience recruiting senior finance contractors (FD, FC, CFO, Transformation).
• Principal‑level confidence, credibility and commercial impact.
• Strong regional market knowledge of Bristol, Bath and surrounding areas.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across teams.
• High standards for data integrity and candidate experience.
