Senior HR Advisor – Not for Profit (Fareham)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Senior HR Advisor to join a well‑established not‑for‑profit organisation in Fareham. Working within a collaborative HR team of six, you will support a workforce of around 400 employees and help drive people‑focused initiatives as the organisation continues to grow.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex employee‑relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, long‑term absence and performance management.
• Coach and advise managers on HR best practice, employment law and people‑management techniques.
• Review, develop and maintain HR policies ensuring compliance with UK legislation.
• Lead HR projects such as organisational change, TUPE transfers and people‑strategy initiatives.
• Analyse HR metrics and management information to inform business decisions and process improvements.
• Provide leadership to junior HR team members and deputise for senior HR management when required.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and coordinate with external partners as needed.

Required profile

• Extensive HR generalist experience with a focus on complex employee‑relations.
• Proven ability to coach managers and influence HR practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR compliance.
• Experience delivering HR projects and change initiatives.
• Analytical mindset with confidence in using HR data.
• Experience managing and developing HR team members.
• CIPD qualification (desirable) and excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.

• Competitive salary £32,000‑£38,000 per year.
