About the role
Severn Trent is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a large capital wastewater project within its Capital Design and Delivery department. Based in Tamworth, you will oversee the delivery of complex mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) works and conduct regular site visits.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the project team on a high‑value capital project, ensuring delivery against scope, time and cost.
- Manage NEC contracts, including procurement, administration and compliance.
- Develop and maintain cost plans, budgets and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate the design, installation and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Required profile
- Relevant industry experience in MEICA systems, preferably with a degree or studying towards one.
- Proven track record managing NEC contracts on capital engineering works.
- Demonstrated ability in cost planning, budgetary control and technical delivery.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, control and automation technologies is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, influencing and collaborative leadership skills.
- Positive, caring attitude with a commitment to diversity and continuous improvement.
