Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a strong pipeline of industrial and logistics projects for a well‑established construction consultancy in Birmingham. You will own delivery from feasibility through to completion, managing stakeholder relationships, commercial performance and programme delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from initial brief and feasibility through to handover.
• Manage industrial and logistics projects within live operational environments.
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams to meet programme, budget and quality targets.
• Prepare and maintain project programmes, progress reports and key stage updates.
• Chair project meetings, communicate with stakeholders and provide clear updates to clients and senior teams.
• Support procurement, tendering and contractor appointment processes, handling contractor queries.
• Administer NEC and JCT contracts, managing commercial, contractual and risk matters.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality standards.
• Build strong client relationships and identify further business development opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of project delivery in industrial and logistics sectors.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in consultancy or client‑side environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with a proactive client‑facing approach.
• Confident in preparing reports, programmes and project documentation to a high standard.
• Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, risk and procurement processes.
• Proven delivery of industrial, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing projects from inception to completion.
• Working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts and contract administration.
• Degree qualified in Construction Project Management or a related discipline; MRICS, MAPM or chartership pursuit is a plus.
