Senior SharePoint Developer

About the role

HMRC is looking for a Senior SharePoint Developer to enhance its intranet used by over 67,000 colleagues. You will work closely with product managers, analysts and content teams to deliver a fast, frictionless digital experience that supports the organisation’s communication and information needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve the SharePoint‑based intranet platform.
• Collaborate with the Development Team Lead and Lead Product Manager to define and implement the product roadmap.
• Work alongside SharePoint Support Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and content creators to ensure a consistent user experience.
• Engage with the Chief Digital Information Officer Group and the Transforming our Intranet programme to specify and commission enhancements.
• Provide guidance and training to the content community on creating accessible SharePoint content.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing and delivering SharePoint solutions in large organisations.
• Strong understanding of user experience and the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
