Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Valarian Technologies is building Acra, a secure‑enclave platform that protects critical data for government and commercial customers. As a Senior Software Engineer you will design, develop and operate backend services that power this platform, ensuring security, reliability and scalability from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance micro‑services and APIs in Go.
• Build event‑driven systems and internal platform services supporting the Acra control plane.
• Containerise applications, define CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments with Docker, Kubernetes and Argo workflows.
• Implement observability, monitoring and debugging solutions for production support.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product owners and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Contribute to platform capabilities such as identity‑aware communication, policy‑driven deployment and auditability.

Required profile

• Proven experience building backend services in Go and operating them in cloud‑native environments.
• Comfort taking ownership of well‑defined work items and delivering them reliably.
• Ability to ask insightful questions and influence technical decisions.
• Interest in security‑focused platforms and strong operational foundations.
