Senior Tax Manager / Tax Director (Personal & Corporate Tax)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager or Tax Director to join a leading independent accountancy firm in Central London. You will lead a team of junior tax professionals and provide high‑value tax services to high‑net‑worth individuals and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and advisory work for HNWI clients and their businesses, including family estates.
• Develop corporate tax‑efficient strategies and support personal tax interests.
• Handle complex UK and international tax issues for high‑net‑worth clients.
• Perform corporate tax planning, cross‑border structuring and deal‑tax activities alongside senior partners.
• Liaise with Tax Directors/Partners on projects such as dividend planning, EIS, CGT, non‑domicile, VCT and IHT.
• Oversee junior PQ and qualified tax staff, ensuring quality, cost and timeliness.
• Contribute to business development by engaging referrers and external partners.
• Explain tax matters clearly to clients and deliver workshops or internal training.

Required profile

• Experience in a recognised Regional or Top‑50 practice, preferably with CTA and/or ATT qualification.
• Proven expertise in both corporate and personal tax matters and client portfolio management.
• Strong relationship‑building and team‑working abilities.
• Ability to develop new business, work under pressure and meet deadlines and budgets.
