Site Engineer

About the role

CMDP+ is seeking a Site Engineer to join the Southern Water Framework joint venture. The role will support the delivery of a £1bn, five‑year capital programme that upgrades water supply and wastewater treatment assets across the South and South‑East of England.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and ensure compliance with safe systems of work in line with SHE procedures.
• Conduct site inductions and promote SHE initiatives, recording hazards and observations.
• Assist the site agent with collaborative planning, look‑ahead programme development, and risk/change identification.
• Identify material requirements against the programme schedule and flag needs promptly.
• Support the resolution of site blockers and issues, escalating when beyond personal control.
• Maintain 100% SHEQ compliance with the Framework HASEMP and Management Plan.

Required profile

• HNC/HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline (civil or allied).
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction best practices.
• Relevant CSCS card and SMSTS certification.
• Vocational training in engineering; appointed person or lifting training is advantageous.
