Software Engineer – Backend (Level II)

About the role

Babel is a multinational technology consultancy that helps large enterprises and public organisations accelerate their digital transformation. We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer (Level II) to join our expanding team and contribute to innovative projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java backend applications using the Spring framework.
• Implement and optimise RESTful APIs and integrate with databases.
• Work with Spring Batch, Elastic Search and Docker to deliver scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams following Scrum and Gitflow practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Java (versions 6, 7, 8) and advanced knowledge of Spring.
• Proficiency in SQL and basic NoSQL concepts.
• Solid understanding of HTTP, REST, and API security.
• Familiarity with Test‑Driven Development, Behavior‑Driven Development and related tools.
