Software Engineer – Data Platforms (ATLAS)

About the role

As a Software Engineer in the Data Platforms team, you will design and deliver complex products for the ATLAS (Advanced Telemetry Linked Acquisition System) suite. The role supports race engineers and strategists by providing robust, scalable software that captures, visualises and analyses real‑time and historic motorsport data.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the ATLAS software suite, ensuring high code quality and test coverage.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Field Application Engineers to understand race issues and translate user requirements into feasible solutions.
• Detect, document and track software defects, applying quality‑assurance principles throughout the Agile lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives, release planning and technical documentation.

Required profile

• First‑class or upper‑second degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and ability to work both independently and within a team.
• High attention to detail with solid analytical skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C# and the .NET framework.
• Experience with WPF, SQL and Git version control.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Good practice of Agile project‑management frameworks.
