About the role
The School of Economics at the University of Edinburgh is appointing a Stipendiary Fellow specialising in Behavioural and Experimental Economics. This full‑time, fixed‑term position runs for 24 months starting in September 2026 and combines research and teaching responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in behavioural and experimental economics (approximately 65% of time).
- Conduct original research and contribute to the School’s research agenda (approximately 35% of time).
- Supervise student projects and provide academic mentorship.
- Participate in curriculum development and departmental activities.
Required profile
- Final‑stage PhD candidate or recent PhD graduate in Economics.
- Demonstrated expertise in behavioural and experimental economics.
- Strong potential for an academic career with a focus on teaching and research.
- Ability to engage and inspire students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
