Store Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead a new luxury retail outlet in Ashford. You will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff and inventory, and delivering a premium customer experience for our European‑style product range.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets while operating within the allocated budget.
• Monitor, collect and analyse KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
• Recruit, train, coach and motivate a high‑performing team.
• Schedule staff efficiently and manage performance, disciplinary and attendance matters.
• Control stock levels, ensure accurate pricing and meet shrinkage targets.
• Maintain compliance with cash handling, opening/closing procedures and health & safety standards.
• Keep the store visually appealing and support promotional set‑up.
• Report directly to the Area Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Store, Deputy or Assistant Manager in premium or luxury retail.
• Experience with new store openings is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build customer loyalty.
• Physically fit – regular bending and lifting of items up to 15 kg.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
