Support Worker (3 Positions)

About the role

The British Red Cross is recruiting three Service Support Workers for its Health and Care team in Falkirk, working across the Stirlingshire area. The role supports adults who may be struggling because of age, illness or vulnerability, helping them live more independently and feel more connected. No formal care experience is needed if you can make someone feel safe, supported and valued.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal, emotional and practical support to adults in their own homes or community
• Help with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation and medication
• Liaise with health and social care professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality care
• Promote safety and wellbeing through risk assessments and welfare checks

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not offered
• Registration with the Scottish Social Security Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle; mileage is paid
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Required skills

• Excellent communication skills and a caring, respectful approach
• Experience supporting people with physical, sensory or mental health needs
• Knowledge of community care resources and risk assessments

• Salary of £24,479 per year, 35 hours per week (part-time 18 or 24 hours also considered)
