About the role

Howden, a global insurance group, offers a Talent Acquisition Apprenticeship for its London office, starting in January 2027. You will work in a permanent role from day one while completing an 18-month development programme, earning £28,000. The apprenticeship is Level 3 HR and covers the full recruitment process, from creating recruitment campaigns to assessing candidates.

You will be placed either in Specialised Talent Acquisition, recruiting experienced professionals into specialist divisions, or in Early Careers, supporting the attraction and recruitment of apprentices, interns and graduates. You are expected to work in the office 3-4 days per week and live within commuting distance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation of job descriptions and recruitment marketing content
• Arrange interviews and assessment centres by coordinating diaries and availability
• Communicate with candidates and manage candidate email inboxes
• Review first-stage applications and learn how to assess live and pre-recorded video interviews
• Conduct market and competitor research and learn the recruitment systems and tools

Required profile

• Full and unrestricted right to work in the UK
• Lived permanently in the UK for the last 3 years
• Grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths
• No qualification that significantly overlaps with this apprenticeship
• Interest in recruitment, good communication, attention to detail, organisation and resilience in a busy environment
