Tax Advisory Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Advisory Manager to join a top‑20 London firm on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on high‑value advisory work for private clients, owner‑managed businesses and corporate entities, with support from audit and junior teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, owner‑managed businesses and corporate clients.
• Deliver advisory work across Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, Enterprise Investment Scheme, R&D tax relief and tax structuring.
• Review personal and corporate tax returns prepared by junior staff.
• Act as a trusted adviser and primary point of contact for clients.
• Support business development and identify growth opportunities within the portfolio.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Liaise directly with Partners on complex and strategic tax matters.

Required profile

• CTA qualified or equivalent with strong UK tax experience.
• Proven experience managing client portfolios within a practice.
• Extensive exposure to advisory work across personal and corporate tax.
• Ability to provide practical, commercially focused advice.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff.
