About the role
John Taylor Free School is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Modern Foreign Language to join its inclusive community from January 2027 (or earlier). The role involves delivering Spanish or French across Key Stages 3 to 5, following bespoke, Edexcel and AQA curricula.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging MFL lessons for KS3, KS4 and KS5.
- Implement the Conti pedagogy, focusing on listening and extensive processing.
- Assess student progress and adapt resources to meet diverse needs.
- Collaborate with the language team to develop schemes of learning and curriculum plans.
- Contribute to the school’s wellbeing and inclusive culture.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching at A‑Level is desirable, but the post is also open to new entrants.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a coaching culture.
- Ability to work flexibly within a full‑time schedule.
