Teaching Assistant – Support Children with Complex Needs

About the role

We are seeking compassionate teaching assistants to support pupils with complex physical, medical and behavioural needs in schools across Bristol and surrounding areas. This part‑time, term‑time role works during school hours and offers the chance to make a real difference to students' learning and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional needs during lessons and throughout the school day.
• Provide personal care and assistance with mobility as required.
• Help students stay focused, engaged and motivated in their learning.
• Promote inclusion, independence and emotional well‑being.
• Work alongside teachers and therapists to deliver consistent, tailored support.

Required profile

• Experience as a social care worker, support worker or in a residential care setting.
• Comfortable delivering personal care and supporting physical needs.
• Calm, compassionate and adaptable approach.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential.

• Competitive daily rate of £90‑£100 (PAYE).
• Weekly pay, term‑time only (typically 8:00 am–3:30/4:00 pm).
• Placements in mainstream and special schools across Bristol.
