Test Centre Associate – Evening & Weekend Shifts

About the role

The Test Centre Associate will invigilate DVSA driving theory exams at the Colchester test centre, primarily during evenings and weekends. You will ensure each candidate’s test is delivered securely, fairly and in line with DVSA standards while providing a friendly customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Check candidate identification and record bookings in the system.
• Supervise and invigilate theory and hazard‑perception tests.
• Maintain the integrity and security of test materials.
• Explain test procedures and answer candidate queries.
• Perform opening and closing duties for the test centre.
• Report any incidents or irregularities that could affect testing.

Required profile

• Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible evenings and weekends.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and guidelines.
• Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy for using the booking system.
