Trainee Dispenser – Pharmacy Assistant (London)

About the role

Join a busy retail pharmacy team as a Trainee Dispenser and develop the skills needed to support pharmacists and healthcare professionals. You will work on the shop floor, building relationships with patients while completing a nationally recognised NVQ2 Dispenser training programme.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 training programme.
• Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering, labelling, endorsing and collecting medicines.
• Assist other healthcare staff in delivering pharmacy services.
• Provide advice to patients about medicines and refer complex queries to the pharmacist.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure legal and safe dispensing.
• Stay updated on store innovations and operational processes.
• Support patients with repeat prescriptions and medication adherence.
• Work with new dispensing technologies to improve patient safety.

Required profile

• Desire to learn and complete the NVQ2 Dispenser training programme.
• Current, valid UK right to work (no visa sponsorship).
• Preferably some experience in a community pharmacy setting.
