Training Manager

About the role

The Training Manager will lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programmes for the warehouse operations at Debenhams Group in Sheffield. Working closely with department heads and HR, you will ensure staff have the skills and knowledge to perform safely and efficiently, supporting the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify training needs across all warehouse functions through collaboration with managers and HR.
• Design and produce role‑specific training materials and programmes, including onboarding, safety, cross‑training and diversity & inclusion.
• Deliver training sessions and oversee external providers where required.
• Maintain accurate training records, monitor progress and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage the training budget, allocating resources for courses, materials and initiatives.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the warehouse team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in training and development, including programme design and management.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience managing budgets.
