Training Officer – Aviation Ground Handling

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Training Officer to join our Ground Handling Training Team at Stansted Airport. You will deliver initial, recurrent and compliance training for ramp and back‑of‑house staff, ensuring the highest safety and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and practical training across ramp and back‑of‑house functions.
• Conduct initial training, refresher courses and competency assessments.
• Identify training needs through operational feedback, audits and performance data.
• Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation.
• Produce training reports and support audit and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with Safety & Compliance, Operations and Management teams.
• Mentor, coach and motivate employees to achieve high performance.

Required profile

• Confident and engaging trainer with a passion for safety in a fast‑paced aviation environment.
• AET (Award in Education and Training) or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience delivering training within an aviation setting, including headset and push‑back operations.
• Strong understanding of airport ground handling, safety procedures and compliance standards.

Required skills

• MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with training record systems.
• Train‑the‑Trainer capability.
• Knowledge of ADPM and Dangerous Goods training.
