Transport & Pricing Analyst

About the role

The Transport & Pricing Analyst will support the Haulage Manager by optimising transport routes and developing pricing strategies that reduce costs and improve efficiency across the UK logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and optimise transport routes in collaboration with hauliers to minimise costs and improve efficiency.
• Identify opportunities from network information where hauliers have won or lost routes and support back‑haul planning.
• Monitor and track haulage pricing fluctuations and analyse market trends, supply and demand drivers.
• Provide insights and recommendations to the Haulage Manager on price movements and opportunities.
• Maintain the accuracy of the pricing matrix and project future prices in line with inflation and market drivers.
• Compare actual versus planned costs to ensure delivery of the pricing strategy.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills in logistics and pricing.
• Expertise in route planning and cost optimisation within the UK transport sector.
• Experience reporting KPIs and preparing performance reports for continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of market drivers affecting supply and demand in the haulage industry.
