Warehouse Operative

About the role

Join Babcock at RAF Valley and play a vital part in supporting RAF operations and service families. As a Warehouse Operative you will manage logistics, maintain stock, and ensure the safe transport of children on school bus routes.

Key responsibilities

• Execute supply department activities, including order placement, progression and delivery of equipment.
• Handle stock issues, receipts, stocktaking and location maintenance.
• Operate MoD Logistic Information Systems and maintain the Unit Materiel Account.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and security within the warehouse.
• Load and unload vehicles as directed.
• Conduct school‑bus escort duties, verifying authorised users, ensuring seat‑belt use and maintaining control during journeys.

Required profile

• Background in logistics or warehouse operations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, able to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Customer‑focused with a commitment to safety and contractual objectives.
• Willingness to complete a targeted medical questionnaire or examination.
