Web Developer – Hybrid – Newcastle

About the role

You will join a supportive digital team to build reliable web solutions that customers use every day. Working in an agile environment, you will turn ideas into high‑quality services while developing your technical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using modern JavaScript, React, TypeScript and Node.js.
• Collaborate with UX designers, testers, product owners and other developers.
• Write clean, accessible code with automated testing from the start.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and help improve team processes.
• Support live services, troubleshoot issues and contribute to incident resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a web or software developer.
• Strong knowledge of React, TypeScript, Node.js and modern JavaScript.
• Experience building APIs with REST or GraphQL and working with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as Jest, Cypress or React Testing Library.
• Experience in an Azure cloud environment with CI/CD pipelines.
