Weekend Concierge (January 2027 Start)

About the role

A residential development of 137 flats in Haggerston, East London, is looking for a Weekend Concierge starting in January 2027. The concierge is the first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors, working Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 16:00. The role is permanent and paid up to £13.20 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and greet residents, visitors and contractors courteously and professionally.
• Act as first point of contact for telephone, intercom, email and face-to-face enquiries.
• Receive, record and manage parcels and packages, and release them after checking identification and authorisation.
• Record instructions on the concierge database, register new residents and update apartment profiles.
• Issue welcome letters, programme door-entry fobs and key cards, and help residents with database login details.
• Report resident complaints and lease breaches to the Building Manager, and arrange contractor access to apartments.
• Complete end-of-shift parcel and key audits, and carry out weekly fire alarm, lift alarm and other safety tests.
• Know the site's fire activation and evacuation procedures, patrol communal areas and report hazards, defects and spillages.
• Mop floors occasionally, keep reception areas tidy, and update handover notes at the end of each shift.

Required profile

• At least 2 years' residential concierge experience at a luxury establishment.
• Exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail and outstanding written and verbal communication.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and able to build trusting relationships with residents and colleagues.
• Professional manner and appearance, complying with the company dress code and site health and safety procedures.
