Workshop Supervisor – Engineering Operations

About the role

We are seeking a confident Workshop Supervisor to join a growing family‑run engineering business in Cheddar. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily workshop activities, ensuring that materials, equipment and fabricated components are prepared efficiently for site delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day workshop operations, coordinating materials, equipment and component preparation.
• Enforce health and safety procedures throughout the workshop.
• Oversee stock control, deliveries and equipment maintenance.
• Conduct quality checks on cladding‑related materials and components.
• Lead and motivate a small team, fostering a supportive and open‑door culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor, Workshop Manager, Team Leader or similar role.
• Background in engineering with experience managing a team.
• Strong leadership abilities and a self‑starter attitude.
• Capability to work independently and take ownership of processes.
