About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a high‑performing infant school in Huntingdon. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to work in a supportive environment that values each child’s potential.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Year 2 lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
- Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and fellow teachers to enhance school practice.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers about pupil development.
Required profile
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience teaching Year 2 or KS1.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional growth.

- Knowledge of the National Curriculum.
