Approved Electrician – Commercial & Industrial Energy Projects

About the role

We are seeking an Approved Electrician to join a growing energy services business. You will work across the UK, primarily on petrol filling station sites, delivering electrical installations, maintenance and fault‑finding for commercial and industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and carry out electrical maintenance, installations, inspections and testing nationwide.
• Liaise with customers on‑site to discuss ongoing works and identify additional service opportunities.
• Prepare and submit documentation such as test certificates, risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) to meet audit and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Work independently in hazardous areas while maintaining strong teamwork and communication with engineers, managers and support staff.
• Ensure all client sites in your region pass annual audits and comply with UK legislation.

Required profile

• C&G 2330 (or equivalent) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition Certification and C&G 2391 (or equivalent) for periodic testing and inspections.
• JIB Gold Card or ECS Gold Card.
• Proven experience completing electrical work in industrial or commercial settings.
• Valid, clean UK driving licence and ability to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards.

Required skills

• Electrical installation and fault‑finding.
• Periodic testing and inspection of electrical systems.
• Preparation of RAMS documentation.
• Use of C&G 2330 and C&G 2391 standards.
• Compliance with 18th Edition regulations.
