Area Sales Manager – Roofline & Cladding Building Materials

About the role

This is a field‑based Area Sales Manager position promoting a leading range of roofline and cladding building materials across East Anglia and the Northern Home Counties. You will manage an existing portfolio of merchants and distributors while also pursuing projects with regional house builders, developers and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Account‑manage and develop relationships with national and independent merchants and specialist distributors.
• Deliver product training, organise trade days and conduct dual visits to strengthen partner relationships.
• Identify and win projects with regional house builders, local developers, housing associations and contractors, accounting for 30‑40% of your time.
• Ensure all sales are back‑sold through your merchant and distributor network.

Required profile

• Proven field sales experience, preferably within the construction industry.
• Experience selling to merchants, contractors or other B2B customers.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and target‑driven with strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Stable career history and a desire to build a long‑term career in construction sales.
