Civil Engineer – Highways & Drainage Design

About the role

I am recruiting for a Civil Engineer to join a respected, forward‑thinking consultancy delivering major residential, commercial and mixed‑use developments across the UK. This role offers exposure to complex infrastructure schemes, from local improvements to multi‑million‑pound projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with highways design to S38 and S278 standards
• Prepare adoptable drainage designs to S104 and S98 requirements
• Contribute to SuDS layouts, earthworks assessments and external works design
• Produce technical reports, design statements and supporting documentation
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies and internal design teams
• Prepare drawings using AutoCAD and MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage

Required profile

• HND, HNC or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• UK consultancy experience in highways and drainage design
• Strong communicator with a proactive approach to learning
• Keen to progress professionally with mentoring and support
