About the role
International SOS is seeking a Coordinating Nurse to join its London office in Chiswick Park. This office‑based position offers the chance to work within a truly global team, providing high‑quality medical assistance to patients and clients worldwide without night‑shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and triage calls from patients around the world, delivering evidence‑based medical advice.
- Provide pre‑travel health assessments, risk analysis and vaccination recommendations.
- Assess local medical standards against international benchmarks and advise on fitness to fly.
- Coordinate patient care globally, directing patients to appropriate facilities and liaising with international medical professionals.
- Arrange medical evacuations and repatriations, including commercial carrier escorts or air‑ambulance missions.
- Participate in internal quality‑improvement projects.
Required profile
- NMC registration with roughly five years of ICU or Emergency experience.
- Broad clinical exposure in travel, global health, humanitarian, military or similar settings.
- Ability to identify critical medical issues, act promptly and manage cases under pressure.
- Excellent telephone etiquette, adaptability and empathy.
- Proficient written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
