Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Part‑time, Daily Supply)

About the role

Reeson Education is seeking a Cover Supervisor to provide flexible, part‑time cover for a secondary school in Shepperton. You will independently manage groups of up to 30 students, delivering pre‑planned lessons to a high standard with limited preparation time.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cover for registration and deliver lessons left by the regular cover.
• Maintain a positive learning climate using the school’s behaviour policies and Gold Classroom standards.
• Support student self‑esteem through praise, encouragement and positive interactions.
• Assist in developing and implementing SEN support plans.

Required profile

• Hold a degree or be an aspiring teacher.
• Interest in and knowledge of autism.
• Experience managing distressed or challenging behaviours.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and stay calm under pressure.

Required skills

• Basic IT literacy with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
