E3D/PDMS Piping Designer – Nuclear Engineering

About the role

Assystem is seeking an experienced PDMS/E3D Piping Designer to take ownership of key plant areas and deliver high‑quality, installable piping solutions for nuclear engineering projects. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient and compliant plant designs.

Key responsibilities

• Design safe, efficient and maintainable piping systems and plant layouts.
• Create robust pipe support designs and generate automated isometric drawings directly from 3D models.
• Ensure all designs comply with UK statutory regulations, industry codes and project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and digital solution teams to optimise overall plant design.
• Produce detailed engineering deliverables such as isometrics, general arrangements (GAs) and support details.
• Review and check deliverables from other designers to maintain quality and consistency.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a PDMS/E3D Designer in a highly regulated industry, preferably nuclear.
• Strong knowledge of UK statutory regulations, relevant industry codes and engineering standards.
• Ability to obtain the required UK security clearance (minimum SC level).

Required skills

• PDMS and E3D software proficiency.
• Piping design and pipe support engineering.
