Enterprise Architect – Retail & Hospitality Tech

About the role

We are seeking a senior Enterprise Architect to lead the technology strategy for a leading UK retailer and hospitality client undergoing a major business and cloud transformation. The role is highly visible, working directly with C‑suite stakeholders to ensure technology enables growth and competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive enterprise architecture strategy across a complex, multi‑site retail environment.
• Partner with the CIO, COO and senior leaders to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
• Collaborate with domain technology leads to deliver scalable, future‑proof solutions.
• Shape supplier strategy and guide technology investment decisions.
• Support large‑scale cloud transformation programmes within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Ensure the architecture enhances customer experience, operational efficiency and revenue growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or Head of Architecture in retail, hospitality or other multi‑site environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand and articulate business models, cost drivers and customer behaviour.
• Experience delivering or supporting large‑scale cloud migration programmes, preferably on the Microsoft stack.
• Ability to operate across domains and influence C‑suite stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of omnichannel retail and customer engagement strategies.
• Self‑starter mentality comfortable in a fast‑moving, evolving environment.
