Events Manager

About the role

The Watergate Bay Hotel is seeking an Events Manager to lead its programming and events strategy. You will blend cultural, active, and wellbeing experiences while supporting sustainability and community goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the hotel’s events and programming strategy in line with B Corp commitments.
• Balance community engagement with commercial performance, growing revenue through events and sponsorship.
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Reservations, and Guest Services to plan and execute hotel and external “in‑the‑bay” events.
• Act as the primary contact for guest enquiries, ensuring expectations are understood and met.
• Assist the Head of Brand Delivery in creating new event concepts.
• Liaise with external suppliers to ensure seamless event execution.
• Set and manage event budgets, working towards agreed income targets.
• Build strong relationships with event organisers and local partners.

Required profile

• Leadership experience in hospitality or events management.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive revenue.
• Excellent organisational, negotiating and multitasking abilities.
• Capability to translate complex projects into clear, manageable tasks.
• Commitment to sustainability and community‑focused initiatives.
