GP Partner or Salaried GP – Hawick Practice

About the role

Join a friendly, supportive and well‑established GP practice in Hawick, Scottish Borders. The practice is seeking either a GP Partner or a Salaried GP, offering flexibility for the right candidate to enjoy a rewarding clinical role with excellent work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver primary‑care consultations, typically 24 x 15‑minute appointments per day.
• Provide minimal house‑visit services as required.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ANPs, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, FCP and CTAC staff.
• Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate training activities.
• Optionally cover local out‑of‑hours sessions if desired.

Required profile

• Fully qualified General Practitioner, eligible for partnership or salaried employment.
• Willing to work 6–8 sessions per week in a community‑focused practice.
• Committed to delivering high‑quality patient care in a rural setting.
• Comfortable working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Required skills

• Clinical competence in general practice.
• Ability to manage a high volume of short‑duration appointments.
• Effective communication with patients and team members.

• 6–8 sessions per week, with salaried rates of £9,000–£13,000 per session per year.
