Host – Club Lounge

About the role

Join the distinguished Fairmount Cheshire, The Mere team as a Host in the Club Lounge. You will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering polished, warm service and guiding them through our food and beverage offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an extraordinary service experience in line with 5‑star standards.
• Assist guests with menu choices, offering enthusiastic and knowledgeable recommendations.
• Take reservations accurately and courteously.
• Drive revenue through upselling and creative initiatives.
• Share knowledge of promotions, preparation, and Gordon Ramsay restaurant concepts.
• Follow health and safety policies when handling food and beverage.
• Perform administrative duties such as printing menus and managing stationery requisitions.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of serving or hosting experience in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Passion for 5‑star hospitality and the ability to deliver it consistently.
• Empathetic with strong rapport‑building skills and the ability to read guest preferences.
• Quick thinking, resourceful, and able to solve problems in the moment.
• Calm, courteous, and able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced setting.
• Team‑oriented with flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
