Mobile Engineer – iOS Developer

About the role

Blue Light Card is looking for a Mobile Engineer to join a newly formed cross-functional team building next-generation iOS applications. You will help shape the mobile experience for emergency service personnel and other essential workers across the UK, working in a modern serverless environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit.
• Write clean, testable code and implement unit tests with XCTest; manage beta releases via TestFlight.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Integrate analytics, engagement and payment tools such as Amplitude, Braze, Firebase Crashlytics and Stripe.
• Work with shared business logic written in Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile and deploy server-driven UI on AWS serverless services.

Required profile

• Proven experience building iOS apps at scale.
• Strong knowledge of GitHub, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and version control.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solver with a passion for continuous learning.
