Multi-trade Operative – Field Based (Birmingham & West Midlands)

About the role

We are seeking an adaptable Multi‑trade Operative to join our Empty Homes (Voids) team in the Birmingham & West Midlands area. You will work independently across a local patch, delivering high‑quality repairs and refurbishments to bring void properties back into use.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out a range of multi‑skilled repairs including carpentry, plumbing and plastering tasks.
• Ensure each property meets safety, quality and regulatory standards before new occupants move in.
• Work across your designated area covering Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley and Sandwell.
• Maintain tools, equipment and a company van, and record work completed accurately.
• Provide clear communication with customers and the wider team to support efficient service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in carpentry, plumbing and plastering.
• Strong commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship.
• Proactive, self‑motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the local area.
